Contouring and highlighting have been a huge trend recently. It can be used to slim the face and emphasise the main features of the facial structure. The highlight can be applied to the tops of the cheekbones and down the centre of the nose. In doing so it will compliment the shadowing of the contour and so define the features of the face.
Sleek have recently released a couple of highlighters however my favourite was the Solstice Palette. It has a variety of shades ranging from a dusky lavender to a copper brown, all of which offer a different effect once applied to the face. The four shades are stunning let alone the packaging! The palette has a reflexive gold case and inside there is a very good size mirror, perfect for doing your makeup on the go! The palette does include a small, black brush and it does not apply the product evenly as it is too dense, a fan brush would be a lot better.

Sleek Solstice Palette- top left to bottom right- Ecliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar, Equinox
Ecliptic is a luminous cream, this gives the most metallic finish in my view, perfect for a night out as it has great staying power. Hemisphere and Equinox are baked highlighters, these aren’t as pigmented as the extreme Ecliptic shade but they are great for creating a naturally radiant looks. Having the two shades allows you to match the highlight with any eye look. Hemisphere is a cool tone and is stunning with blue/grey eye looks whereas Equinox can be used to warm and bronze the face whilst adding a glow to the face. Subsolar is my least favourite to use on the cheeks but it looks amazing in the inner corner of the eye and on the browbone.

All of the shades blend extremely well, and as you can see the pigmentation is stunning! They do kick up a lot of powder in the pan when you’re using a brush but that can be expected with highly pigmented products.
