Juicy Shakers- Lancome- First Impressions

Lancome have recently released Juicy Shaker lipglosses to replace their signature Juicy Tubes. The cocktail shaker appearance has a very expensive feel and they are small enough to slip into a purse or a handbag. The trio is a great range of colours which are perfect for natural looks.

The formula separates in the bottle and so it must be shaken before use, whilst this is the point of the Juicy Shakers it doesn’t make the product look high-end. Once shaken the formula isn’t highly pigmented and when applied to the lips it gives a sheer gloss effect. I was hoping that they would have a really lovely fruity flavour since they are like cocktail shakers but instead, it is a plastic-like smell. These lipglosses would be great for a natural look as they give the lips slightly more pigmentation, the gloss doesn’t dry down so they make the lips look plumper.

The brush is very unusual and the sponge-like applicator applies the product extremely well with great precision. The formula feels very hydrating on the lips. The staying power isn’t bad, however, they don’t last throughout a meal so they would need to be reapplied regularly after eating. My favourite out of the three shades is the Vanilla Pop.
